Why the name 'oneLife?'

There are references to the word 'ONE' throughout the Bible and they speak powerfully of God’s solidarity within Himself and our unity in Him!

Deuteronomy 6:4, "The LORD our God, the LORD is ONE."

1 Timothy 2:5, "For there is ONE God, and there is ONE mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."

John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."" There is only ONE way to be made right with God.

Ephesians 4:4-6, "There is ONE body and ONE Spirit—just as you were called to the ONE hope that belongs to your call— ONE Lord, ONE faith, ONE baptism, ONE God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."

1 Corinthians 12:12, "For just as the body is ONE and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are ONE body, so it is with Christ."

Philippians 3:13-14, "But ONE thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."

Philippians 1:27, "Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ...that you are standing firm in ONE spirit, with ONE mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel..."

As a final thought…

We have ONE LIFE in which we have the opportunity to respond to the gospel. This is ONE big decision that has eternal consequences. Hebrews 9:27-28, “And just as it is appointed for man to die ONCE, and after that comes judgment, so Christ, having been offered ONCE to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.”
